You might have heard that the IT field is popular right now. Trust me, it can be your ticket to taking care of your loved ones while still being able to spend quality time with them. Here's the thing, black women are largely underrepresented in this field. and that's a problem. The good news is that there are organizations dedicated to making moves that will change that. It's up to us to take advantage and show others how they can too. Each one, reach one. The industry is starting to get more diverse, but there's still a loooong way to go. Cybersecurity, which has been a veritable boy's club for way too long, presents the greatest opportunity, in my opinion, for people of color, especially women. We got this. Representation matters and we have the skills and unique perspectives to bring to the cybersecurity table.
