Yesterday, a collaboration meeting was held to discuss the NIB Classification Strategy Document. The purpose of the document is to present the mental model for Non-Inventory Business (NIB’s) Global Classification strategy and seek alignment from GTS (Global Trade Services) /GSRC (Global Solutions Risk and Compliance) Leadership. It aims to identify opportunities, challenges, and areas of improvement in the current classification process, the impact on shipment processes, and proposes recommendations to enhance classification delivery and optimize resource utilization across nodes. The working document focuses on current challenges faced by GSRC/GTS teams, recommendations, and plan of actions. It also includes detailed analysis for Urgent/Reactive Inflows, associated compliance risks/business blockers for non-proactive inflows, a list of actions with RACI list, and understanding overlaps in the GTS Program. The goal is to streamline the classification inflow, define a trigger mechanism, and work towards chalking out E2E Optimal NIB Process essential for International Shipment.
