Shamala conceptualised and implemented the Inflow optimization project, driving the elimination of inflows with low FN rate and absorbing additional volumes for manual review. She devised FN identification rates for different regions, compiled missed opportunities for refinement, and targeted controllable FN improvement. Shamala also led initiatives to enhance defect close-looping, monitor ASIN journey projects, and improve the coverage improvement for ASINs. Additionally, she identified gaps in the Business Appeal process and collaborated with the Program team to revamp the inflow strategy. Shamala's contributions extended to creating a query-based SCOT report, implementing ARC accuracy, and driving defect data impact for new models. She also introduced a risk-based export control framework and initiated discussions to onboard advanced classification training within NIB, focusing on relieving efforts for the program team and establishing NIB as a center of excellence for all programs.
